When you are living and working in different cultures, moving back and forth between them, it can be fascinating to observe differences and similarities.
In these photos that I took in Bhutan (upper row) and Germany (lower row) I can find both: strong (formal) similarities and big contrasts (in meaning and atmosphere).
These three pairs were exhibited as juxtapositions in a quite busy walking passage near the train station of the Swiss town of Zug in March and April 2024 (see photo below).
